CURE in Philippines

The picture above is of CURE in Philippines. Everyone who serves with CURE in Philippines, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Ann Rose. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Ann Rose. When you give a gift through Ann Rose's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Philippines. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Ann Rose. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

Ann Rose's Story

“Before I started casting, my best friends Erica and Yana would walk to the store to buy bread and donuts. On my free time, I get on Facebook to talk to my friends,” says Ann Rose.

Ann Rose keeps up with the pre-teens in her generation. She shares the same interests with her crowd and even walks to their favorite hang out place. Unfortunately, she can’t walk too far, especially when the road is rocky and painful for her feet that only fit into a pair of flip flops.

“When I gave birth to Ann Rose, the doctor told me that I should have surgery right away. But my father was against it and told me that I should not change what God gave my child. We never got her clubfoot checked until two years ago, when we got to visit Tebow CURE. In fact, she was scheduled for surgery, but her teacher discouraged her to do so due to unforeseen complications that might happen during surgery,” shares Ann Rose’s mom Rosalia.

A few years of being discouraged to go through surgery, our field workers ran into Ann Rose in their neighborhood. But this time, Ann Rose’s fear started to fade away when she heard healing stories from other kids including photos of before and after surgery!

It’s amazing to see how one story can mold another testimony like Ann Rose’s. With your help and support, Ann Rose can have her own healing story to share! We look forward to see how Rose Ann’s healing can impact others!

"I want to go home already, my feet looks scary..." cried Ann Rose when she saw her feet while recasting. That whole process was not fun for her at all. It's a good thing that her sister Charmien was there to support as well as for mobility assistance! She took her first few steps to practice walking with her casts and in a few weeks, we hope to see those casts finally removed! Photo of Ann Rose

We can tell that Rosalie's trip to mark off paperwork on her to-do list was a success! Ann Rose and her crew were waiting for a ride home in the lobby this morning. She's not ready to walk on her casts yet, so she'll be using a wheelchair until the doctor says otherwise. Her goal is to recover and heal as she gets caught up with school work. Once they get a ride home, we will see Ann Rose back in a few weeks! Photo of Ann Rose

Our prayers have been heard! Ann Rose only had minimal pain today and had no complaints at all. While she's recovering well, her parents are out and about getting paperwork done so she can go home tomorrow. She was relaxed and encouraged in the ward as she read her get well letters, thanks for sending those her way! Knowing that she's being prayed for by a lot of people is a good boost to her healing! Although Ann Rose's time with casts isn't over yet, this recent one is a step closer to getting her clubfoot fixed! Dr. Jun, Nurse Jaime and Nurse Ton Ton are hard at work in the OR to make that happen. Ann Rose has nothing to be afraid of especially since she's in deep sleep while all of this is happening. We pray that she continues to recover well with minimal and no pain at all after this surgery. Photo of Ann Rose

“I’m afraid of the needles in surgery. I thought I wasn’t going to sleep at all!” There was a sigh of relief in Ann Rose’s voice when she found out that she wouldn’t have to stay awake throughout surgery. After eleven sets of casts for the past few months, Ann Rose has all day to relax with her supportive crew, Anthony and Rosalia, before her surgery tomorrow! Photo of Ann Rose
