CURE in Philippines

The picture above is of CURE in Philippines. Everyone who serves with CURE in Philippines, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Jesson. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Jesson. When you give a gift through Jesson's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Philippines. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Jesson. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

Jesson's Story

“I waited until Jesson is older until we decided to get his foot treated. Now, he’s not walking yet, but I don’t want Jesson to end up like me and get bullied in school,” shares Jesson’s mom Russel.

Russel has walked with clubfoot since childhood, which is why it didn’t surprise her that her son was born with the same disability as her. “I don’t mind it now because I’m older, but I want a brighter future for my son. I have a lot of dreams for Jesson and hope that he’s able to finish school. My mother-in-law heard about the mobile clinic happening close to our town, so we went there to get Jesson screened,” shared Russel.

Jesson is friendly and loves to meet new people even if he only babbles when he talks. While Jesson’s dad helps out at a farm, Russel takes care of Jesson and his siblings. Russel hopes that Jesson is able to walk without clubfeet by the time he learns to be on his feet on his own. As they stay here at the hospital, we encouraged Russel to hope in God as they wait for Jesson’s healing to happen! Please pray for Jesson!

“Going home soon” turned into “Going home today!” for Jesson. When we arrived this morning, he had already hit the road! His recovery yesterday was ahead of schedule, so we were able to discharge him late in the afternoon. Even though he’s no longer here at CURE, we welcome you to continue praying for our little cutie until we see him again in a few weeks.

Jesson was wide awake early this morning and quickly fell asleep when he went into the OR for his surgery. His procedure went quickly, too! Dr. Jun got right into releasing his achilles tendon and wrapped it in a cast before Jesson decided to wake up! It was a fast morning for Jesson and Russel and they may just be headed home soon! Jesson is here! We met him during mobile clinic where he got his first pair of casts. After his second change of casts, he's ready to have an achilles tendon surgery. He seems happy to be here, and all he wants is to play! His mom Russel is nervous but we encouraged her that everyone will be praying for her and Jesson as he goes to surgery tomorrow!
