Nove couldn’t help but shed tears as her little girl wheeled into the OR. “I feel sorry and anxious because my baby will go through painful surgery at such a young age,” Nove shared. Seeing how anxious Nova was, Patient Ministry Coordinator Mary Ann gently helped her understand that God uses these moments of pain and sacrifice to display His glory in Althea’s healing. The pair then prayed together after Nova decided to surrender not just her fears but her life to Jesus. In the OR, the surgical team successfully repaired Althea’s cleft lip and made an incision to separate her left ring and middle fingers. Althea is now back in the loving arms of her mother. She will have surgery to repair her cleft palate once her lip heals up. Your support and partnership help us impact the physical and spiritual aspects of our patients' lives, so thank you!

Christian is back at Tebow CURE to have his second surgery! His right leg is 5 centimeters shorter than his left, so doctors Bill, Micah, and Elsa surgically stopped the growth of his longer leg to allow time for the shorter one to grow. Afterward, the surgical team released the tight muscles in his right hip called the “psoas” and “adductor” to help increase the movement of his right leg. Christian will stay at the guest house provided by partner organization Seeds of Dignity since he will need frequent visits to the hospital. Please continue to pray for his smooth recovery!
“I’m a bit anxious. I have never had surgery, yet my baby will have one at such an early age,” Kathleen confessed, while Doctor Dino and the medical team were in the OR surgically repairing Kayleigh’s cleft lip. Thankfully the procedure ended quickly, so anxious Kathleen soon reunited with her daughter in the recovery room. Kayleigh will come back to Tebow CURE when she turns nine months old for surgery to close her cleft palate (the opening at the roof of her mouth). Thank you for praying for her surgery to be successful!
Help us welcome Althea and Mommy Nove as they have been admitted to Tebow CURE this week. To get ready for surgery, this mom and daughter duo got an RT-PCR swab test to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. “I prayed hard before the test, so it was such a relief when we received news that we tested negative,” Nove told us. This time around, Baby Althea needs our prayers for her surgery. Would you pray with us for Althea to experience God’s miracle of healing as she goes down to the OR tomorrow? Thank you for doing so.
We couldn’t help but get drawn into Kayleigh’s dreamy eyes and beautiful smile! This little one will be staying here with us at Tebow CURE Hospital for the next few days as she is finally scheduled for surgery. Please pray for Kayleigh’s successful surgery and that she and Mommy Kathleen will experience God’s love and healing power as we serve them this week!
