Nafissa

Niger - Age 16
December 1, 2022

"This is the crocheting I am making with my hands. I can finish it by myself," Nafissa said, smiling. Nafissa's beautiful smile tells us she is doing much better. She is more relaxed now, so Nafissa is crocheting to make hats. "While my legs heal, I am learning many things and knowing what God wants from me," she said. Thank you for continuing to encourage Nafissa in her treatment journey.

"I'm slowly getting better, and I'm proud of it," says Rakia. While she is recovering, we read her the messages of encouragement that you have sent her. Rakia is very happy to see so many messages for her. "You are kind to me by helping me to heal. I am happy, and it encourages my healing," she says to all her supporters and well wishers. Your encouraging messages are very appreciated as she continues recovering at the guesthouse.

Simon

Kenya - Age 3
November 30, 2022

Friends, Simon had a cold, and his chest was congested, so he was discharged to go home. Children who have cold-like symptoms are usually not operated on for their safety. It is very easy for breathing complications to happen when they are under anesthesia with a cold. Please pray for Simon to heal and return to the hospital, ready for his surgery.

Michael

Kenya - Age 11
November 30, 2022

Michael came to CURE Kenya today to see his doctor. His ankle-foot orthosis had been measured when he was here a few weeks ago. Today, he came to collect the unique shoe that will help with his clubfoot correction. The orthotics team taught Michael's mum how to help him put it on. We thank God for this progress. We will see Michael again in six months!

Godfrey

Kenya - Age 11
November 30, 2022

We were delighted to see Godfrey today. He came to the hospital for his review after six weeks of healing from home. Godfrey had an ankle foot orthosis (AFO) measured; this unique shoe will help correct his clubfoot. Before leaving, Godfrey had a cast change. He will have it removed and be fitted with his new ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) when he returns after another six weeks.
