Maclifa had a wound inspection yesterday and things are looking good! He's still hanging around the hospital for physical therapy this week, patiently waiting for his discharge, but is loving his friends and the playroom while he waits. Thanks for keeping this cool guy in your prayers while he's with us at CURE Malawi!

Tadala is in the operation room for her first surgery! The surgeons are releasing both her thumb and her pinky finger. They can't release all her fingers in one procedure as it could be dangerous, so she'll need a few more operations in the future. Tadala was a little nervous before entering the operating room, so please keep her in your prayers today as she undergoes surgery and has a smooth recovery.

We took Ismael outside for a walk and he was really fascinated by the huge air conditioning systems on the roof of our buildings. He kept looking at them, watching how they were spinning. Please pray for Ismael’s procedure and for peace of mind for his mum as she waits for her son.

We've been so honored to have Brenda and her family here at CURE Uganda for a few days, and Brenda has charmed everyone at the hospital! She definitely has a big personality! Today she was with mama Jane and baby sister Victoria outside of the patient hospital, waiting for the doctors to make their morning rounds. The CT scan showed that the fluid in her brain is working well, so that's great news! She is still struggling with weakness in her right leg, so physiotherapist Issac gave her mama some exercises they can work on. They are hoping to start the long journey back to the refugee camp where they live today - would you join us in praying for a safe trip for them?

Well, we have some good news and bad news about Jalia today. The bad news is that she needs to stay at CURE Uganda a bit longer while the doctors run some more tests, but the good news is that she's getting the medical care that she needs! This morning Nurse Manager Anita worked with nurse Daisy to help mama Hadijah get some more tests done to figure out which type of infection Jalia has. We have an amazing lab here at CURE Uganda so our lab scientists can do the lab tests right here on site - one more thing to be thankful for today! Thank you for praying for Jalia and Hadijah as they are back with us.
