When we saw Tommy this morning, he was a bit worried about going to the OR. We prayed with him and not long afterwards a nurse came and asked to take him in. It was scary, but Tommy is now one step closer to having a fully functional, straight left leg!

Eli is back for a follow-up! His wounds are healed and his stitches are ready to come off. “I’m so happy to see that it worked out well, including the shape of his nose!” says Dr. Andrew. Part of the challenge of doing a cleft lip surgery is to make sure that the child’s nose looks even. The next step for Eli is to have cleft palate surgery in August. It will be just before his birthday, which means all his procedures will be done before he turns one! What an amazing birthday present that you can give to Eli! Thank you for your support!

"I would have never reached this far in my healing if it was not for you all praying and supporting my operations," said Marrium. Marrium is so happy to have made it through all the difficulties of the past few months. Her doctors reviewed her today and put her leg on a back slab cast (a half cast that only covers the back of her leg and is bound to her leg with bandages - the back slab provides support while also allowing her leg some freedom). Marrium is so happy and full of joy with this progress! Thank you so much for your prayers and support!

Wendy has had her first surgery! Her procedure involved straightening her left leg by removing a wedge of bone. This gave the surgeons enough space to adjust the angle of her bone and straighten her leg! Wendy will have her right leg straightened once she has healed from this surgery. In all honesty, straightening both of Wendy's legs is a pretty major task and she'll be able to achieve the best results if we do this in stages. Kindly thank God with us for a successful first surgery!
