CURE in Niger

The picture above is of CURE in Niger. Everyone who serves with CURE in Niger, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Mariam. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Mariam. When you give a gift through Mariam's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Niger. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Mariam. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

‘’I will never let her ride the bike again,” said Mariam’s mother. Three months ago, her daughter, Miriam fell off from her bike and broke her elbow. Her parents took her to the local hospital but the doctors couldn’t help her. They returned home and used some local remedies recommended by “a traditional healer” and still, nothing happened! One of the neighbors advised them to take Miriam to CURE Niger hospital and here they are! She is now booked for surgery. Miriam is in the ward waiting to be taken to OR. She is a little bit afraid because for the last three months she went to bed crying every night. We do not blame Miriam for feeling this way and we will do all that we can to alleviate her pain. With such a great God on our side, leading the way, we rest assured that she will go through a beautiful healing in and out!

All good works start with prayer! Mariam had her surgery and it was successful! Dr. Shelley and Dr. Uli placed wires in her arm that will help her to bend her elbow again. Miriam is back in the ward, and we caught some smiles on that beautiful face of hers. This is a good sign! Please keep Miriam in your prayers for a smooth recovery. Photo of Mariam

Miriam is still trying to accommodate herself to our nurses and the new faces around. We pray and hope that by the end of her staying with us she will walk out not only healed but also confident! Please pray for Miriam to have a strong heart and courage for the surgery ahead! Photo of Mariam
