CURE in Niger

The picture above is of CURE in Niger. Everyone who serves with CURE in Niger, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Amorth. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Amorth. When you give a gift through Amorth's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Niger. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Amorth. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

‘’I want to have my legs in a cast like Abel,” said Amos to his mother when his older brother came out of the surgery room.

Amos is a very active kid, and he makes friends easily wherever he goes. There is no way for someone not to laugh with him around! He is the second child in his family with brittle bone disease. His mother already has experience taking care of a child with this condition. She was already familiar with CURE Niger since her first son, Abel has been our patient since 2014. So, it was an easy decision for her to bring Amos to us too!

Now, it is Amos’ turn to go through treatment like his brother, Abel. His mother’s name is Love, and her loving heart and arms have shaped her children’s lives. With the same loving heart, Amos is ready to embrace anyone and anything that comes his way, even the surgery that awaits him! Yes, he is just a little kid, but he who has love can conquer anything!

We applause his determination, and we are ready to serve him wholeheartedly!

Amorth thought to stop by our office and say hi. He would not leave us without taking a picture. He looked like a daydreamer! He rests assured that God has awesome plans for him. That is why Amorth can smile with an assurance that defies his present condition! What great "child of faith" we have among us! Keep dreaming His dreams Amorth! Photo of Amorth

There is a prince seated among us, and he shares smiles and giggles with all of us! Amorth just made for himself a crown, and he was wearing it with joy and pride! He continues to keep his colorful cast on his leg while healing sets in slowly but surely. We are happy and grateful to witness this little prince wearing a far greater and a far more precious crown on his head because of our heavenly Father. Rejoice with us in his healing journey.! Amort is a man of his word! He said he wants his leg in a cast like his brother Abel, and he got it done! But he has his own thoughts about color. While Abel has white flowers on his cast, Amorth thought violet was the better choice. Amorth is recovering well, and his heart is filled with joy and laughter each day. It is impossible for anyone not to get a good round of laughter while having him nearby. Thank you for your support of Amorth and your prayers! Photo of Amorth

Our little boy is back in his usual "joyful" mood! He went through a tough surgery, and he had post-surgery pain. But one day later, he is smiling and back to normal. He has such great endurance and determination! He will be discharged from our ward and will continue his recovery at our guesthouse, with his brother Abel. May God continue to do His great work in their lives and see them fully healed! Photo of Amorth

The operation was a success! Dr. Shelley corrected Amorth's leg by introducing a rod in his leg to help to straighten it. At the end of the surgery, a cast was placed on his right leg, and now, our little champion is getting some rest. Please pray for Amorth and his brother Abel as they still have a long journey of recovery ahead! Photo of Amorth

Amos is becoming more familiar with our facilities, our nurses, and really anyone who works at CURE. Yet, he will be exploring a new area very soon - the operating room! Please pray that our brave, little man with a heart of gold will have a smooth surgery. Photo of Amorth
