Malawi - Age 9
The time has come for Salanje to have his frame removed! The long journey that we started in March this year with Salanje, seems to have a beautiful, hopeful, and new ending! He will have his surgery possibly tomorrow so please be on standby to see how corrected his leg is! This afternoon we will talk to Salanje and his grandmother about how the journey has been so please stay tuned to our updates and hear more about him! Keep Salanje in your prayers as our doctors are planning to take our boy into the OR!
"I cannot thank my dad enough for his effortless fight for me, to make sure I have his shoulder to lean on, but most heart touching is how CURE Malawi family treats us. This is home for us, that is what we call it. The love, prayers, care, and all the Christlikeness in these coworkers, our hearts are full of hope, joy, and being thankful," said Orlando. Orlando came today to get his frame checked. Each time we see Orlando, his smiles really tells us how peaceful this young man is! All the support that you are all demonstrating so that Orlando can continue to receive care here at CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi really makes a huge impact in his life. Please keep Orlando in your prayers!
Charles is having a slow and calm day! "I feel my heart is at peace and I am happier now," said Charles. Charles has become more open and his friendships with other children here is really admirable! Charles continues to receive care and his feet will have another cast change tomorrow. Please keep Charles in your prayers as we take one day at a time to get closer to Charles's surgery!
"I can see my feet slowly getting corrected!" Charles sees a difference in the treatment he is receiving here at CURE Malawi! Many times it is hard to tell the change especially if you are the one being treated. Charles, however, tells us how happy he is to see his feet healing! Please join us in prayer and send him a get-well message to celebrate Charles' transformation!
"I feel better each time I have a session of pin site care and dressing. My leg is getting better each day! I am so excited!" said Orlando, a very hopeful and positive boy! He is very grateful to come to CURE Malawi to seek help and this really makes his heart at peace and very hopeful for his future! Orlando would love to hear from you, so please send him a prayer, a Bible verse, or an encouraging letter!
