CURE in Malawi

The picture above is of CURE in Malawi. Everyone who serves with CURE in Malawi, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Jafali. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Jafali. When you give a gift through Jafali's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Malawi. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Jafali. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

"My hopeful future of being like everyone else seems so unreal. My leg causes so much pain and I can hardly go to school." A future that was once bright and hopeful can get washed away just by how others treat someone with a deformity. Jafali shares with us how hard life has been having a disability.

Jafali was born well without any problem. But In 2017, Jafali's knee became swollen, deformed, and causing so much pain and discomfort upto his day. Since then, Jafali has been visiting different hospitals for help but it has not been successful. However, Jafali's parents did not give up. Soon they came across a doctor in their local hospital who told his parents about CURE. Jafali arrived at a CURE hospital in Malawi a few days after and he was immediately seen by our CURE doctors!

Many children with the same condition like Jafali drop out of school because of the challenges. Jafali has been missing school and his friends make fun of how he walks. The shame caused him to doubt whether or not he will ever do or achieve anything in the future. "When I came to CURE Malawi, I was told that my leg can be corrected and that I will walk well again!" Excited to hear that there’s something that we can do, Jafari told us that he will go back to school once he is healed!

We are so grateful for the support that you provide giving Jafali a new hope and bright expectation for his future!
