CURE in Malawi
The picture above is of CURE in Malawi. Everyone who serves with CURE in Malawi, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Hawa. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.
We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Hawa. When you give a gift through Hawa's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Malawi. Have more questions? Ask us.
Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!
When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Hawa. We call it being a CURE Hero!
Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

Hawa Missi was a healthy, happy baby born in the middle of 2009. Less than a year later, she was at home playing with her relatives when she burned her left hand with fire while her mother was away. She had a burn contracture that prohibited her from extending her fingers, because the fingers were joined together. The mother thought it was the devil who facilitated the accident because a month prior to Hawa’s accident, her brother also got burned in the same manner. Hawa’s brother was treated at the local hospital and recovered well. Hawa was treated initially at CURE in 2010. However, she still needed a 2nd procedure to fully repair the hand. Hawa is the last born child in a family of 8 children. Hawa and her mother were assisted with transport by MACOHA, the Malawian Council for the Handicapped.
