What am I giving to?
CURE in Ethiopia
The picture above is of CURE in Ethiopia. Everyone who serves with CURE in Ethiopia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Tsion. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.
We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Tsion. When you give a gift through Tsion's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Ethiopia. Have more questions? Ask us.
Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!
When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Tsion. We call it being a CURE Hero!
Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

Little Tsion is a joy to have here at CURE Ethiopia. Her laughs and antics entertain all those around her and her attitude lights everyone up! While Tsion is still young, she doesn't realize the magnitude of her physical condition and we pray she never has to. When Tsion was just beginning to walk, her mother tells us, Tsion's left left started to swell up badly. They didn't know what was going on and with no medical care in their community, Tsion was taken to the local tradition healer. He wasn't able to do much, but Tsion's swelling did go down in time. Unfortunately though, Tsion was never able to walk the same. It was only when Tsion and her mother came here to CURE Ethiopia that they were told Tsion's hip is dislocated and possibly infection. They were also told she will need surgery to put the hip back in and keep it from happening again. Tsion's dislocation has forced her entire leg into an externally rotated position which gives her a very pronounced limp which will grow painful and permanent if untreated while she is still small. We are overjoyed Tsion has made it here to CURE Ethiopia and we can't wait to get started!
Latest Updates
Tsion is cast-free! The spica cast she had on for the past six weeks was removed today! She will not start her walking practice right away, but when she starts, she will do it gently. We will see her progress after six weeks when she returns for her check-up! Please keep praying for her!
Tsion was not in a good mood today. She didn't want to talk to her nurses or anyone. But the good thing is that she got a smaller cast. The first cast she had covered half of her stomach and this one only covers her legs which allows her to sit up. She will be in this cast for six weeks and continue her healing from home. We will see her again when she returns for her check-up!
Tsion is back at CURE Ethiopia! We found her in bed resting for her turn to go to the operation room. Today, she is having a spica cast change and an examination to see the progress of her healing hip. Please keep her in your prayers as she continues her healing!
