CURE in Ethiopia

The picture above is of CURE in Ethiopia. Everyone who serves with CURE in Ethiopia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Emran. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Emran. When you give a gift through Emran's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Ethiopia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Emran. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“I want to be a doctor some day and help all the children who have a problem like mine and sick people too,” proclaims Emran. We love Emran's compassion!

Two years ago, Emran was at school playing soccer with his friends and accidentally fell and hurt his arm. His parents took him to a traditional healer right away but that did not correct his arm and after that failed attempt, they went to a hospital. His bone developed an infection and he had a couple of operations on his humerus but he still needs another surgery and therefore he was referred to CURE Ethiopia hospital. Emran is the oldest child for his parents and he has two younger sisters, his parents are government workers. They are thankful to have found a place that would help heal Emran. “My favorite sport is soccer and I love playing it with my friends,” Emran told us. Join us in welcoming Emran as he starts his healing journey! We're excited to get him back on the soccer field!

Most of the children in the ward gathered around outside to play a parachute game, and Emran joined in! Every child does their best not to drop the ball out of the parachute, the one that does will introduce themselves and tell everyone what they want to do when they grow up. The game helps our kids learn about each other and they have fun with it too! Photo of Emran
