CURE in Ethiopia

The picture above is of CURE in Ethiopia. Everyone who serves with CURE in Ethiopia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Meseret. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Meseret. When you give a gift through Meseret's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Ethiopia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Meseret. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“I want to be healed and walk without my stick!” proclaims Meseret.

Meseret is a sweet little girl who is no stranger to CURE Ethiopia! She came to us a couple of months back to start her journey of healing and has already seen healing in her right leg! She is now back to get her left let straightened out. She has had this disability in her legs since birth but this is her first time coming to a hospital to seek treatment. She is staying in a home called the Alemachin House, which is a place where children go to get care when their parents or families cannot properly support them with their particular conditions. When they are healed from their surgeries they will go back home to their family, but until then they will learn and play with many other children that have conditions similar to their own. “I’m in grade two now and I want to be a doctor when I grow up so that I could help all the children who has problems like mine," Meseret shared with us. Meseret walks with her tiny stick to school and she is looking forward to being able to run around and play with her friends without the aid of her stick. Meseret has an older sister and her mother says home with the children and her father supports the family through selling goods in a small market. Join us welcoming this sweet child!

Look at Meseret with her crutches! She is walking with them like a champ! Dr. Tim told her good news, she does not need to stay in the Alemachin house any longer! This means that she can go back home and be with her family for the next six months and return for her check-up. Please keep her in your prayers for a safe return back to the hospital.
