“I have been sad for a very long time, asking myself, is it my fault and what should I do? But now I have a hope that my boy will be healed,” explains Yetameshu, Abi’s mother and she continues, “it makes me very happy just knowing that!”
Abi is a shy little boy and has arrived to CURE Ethiopia with his mother Yetameshu seeking help for his tibia problem. Yetameshu told us that his tibia problem started when Abi was only a couple of days old. The family took him to a health center but he could not get the help he needed. They kept searching for healing when they came across a child who had a treatment at CURE Ethiopia so they made their way here! “Even if he limps, Abi still loves playing with his older brother and kids in our neighborhood,” Yetameshu told us. Both of Abi’s parents are farmers and they are grateful people. Abi started school this year which he loves and has made friends there. Please join us in welcoming Abi and his family, please keep them in your prayers as they start Abi’s healing journey!
Abi was a little shy in front of the camera today! We're happy to tell you that his wound is healing beautifully and even though he was shy, he is doing very well! Today he had a K-wire removal and he is going out to get a shoe raise so to help him start walking soon. We will see him back at CURE Ethiopia once he gets that shoe raise, please keep him in your prayers!
Abi came back to the hospital for his first check-up after his operation. He is doing well and his wound is healing but still needs some more time to completely heal. He will be in cast for the next month, please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery!
