Everyone who serves with CURE in Ethiopia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Yordanos. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Yordanos. When you give a gift through Yordanos's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Ethiopia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Yordanos. We call it being a CURE Hero!

“I want to be healed and play with my friends!” exclaims Yordanos.

Yordanos is a friendly young boy, his parents are farmers and he has a younger brother. He has made his way to CURE Ethiopia with his father Bezuneh for his leg problem. Yordanos used to play with his friends and walk like them but six years ago he fell and hurt his leg. His parents took him to receive holy water but that did not help him with his condition. After that, they took him to a traditional healer. The healer was able to help heal his wound at the time, but his bone was still damaged. Bezuneh heard about CURE Ethiopia from a previous patient of ours and he brought Yordanos to the hospital. “I look forward to seeing my boy walk without any pain,” says Bezuneh. Yordanos is a fifth grader and he dreams of becoming a doctor someday. Yordanos also told us, “my school is too far from our house and I always get tired after walking there.” Please join us welcoming Yordanos while he starts his healing journey and praying that walking to school without pain will be in his future!

Meet Yordanos! He was a bit shy at first to talk to us but after a little trying, he told us he likes his school and no one in school makes fun of him or teases him about his leg. We are thankful for that and we look forward to seeing him in a couple of months when he returns for his admission. Please be praying for him! Photo of Yordanos
