Kejelcha is a quiet and only child for his parents and they have come to CURE from south of the capital. Kejelcha was in the first grade when his father decided he needed to stop attending school and find a cure and be treated for his deformity. He was referred to us by his local hospital. His deformity, Coxabara, is congenital and rare. Even though he’s not enrolled in school this year, Kejelcha still enjoys going to campus to play football with his friends! We hope one day he can once again return to school! Please join us in praying for Kejelcha's healing!
Kejelcha is doing great! He is walking well without any support and he is showing good progress! The x-ray showed a positive healing and correction on his hip. We will see him in six months when he returns for another check-up!
Kejelcha had a cold and wasn't feeling to well when we saw him last week. He recovered over the weekend and was fit to go back home and continue his healing! We look forward to seeing him at follow-up clinic soon!
Our fellow, Dr. Nardos, was assisting Dr. Rick during Kejelcha's 'superhip' (Systematic Utilitarian Procedure for Extremity Reconstruction) procedure to correct his deformity. Kejelcha is doing well and recovering in the ward! Please be praying for him this weekend!
