“When I grow up, I want to fly planes!” exclaims Beimnet.

Beimnet lives in the capital with her parents and four brothers. She is the fourth child for her parents and they have a private business to provide for their family. This is not Beimnet’s first visit to CURE hospital, she had been following up with us for a couple of years now. She wears a supporting shoe to help her walk better, but kids at school make fun of her. “When some kids see my supporting shoe they call me ‘three legs’ and laugh at me,” Beimnet explains. She told us that she is in the third year of kindergarten and she loves school so much. Please join us welcoming Beimnet while she starts her journey and pray for her healing!

Beimnet was with all of her friends playing a parachute game in our playroom! In the game, whichever child drops the ball has to say a little bit about themself. When Beimnet dropped it, she told everyone her favorite color is purple and she loves the Ethiopian traditional food 'kitfo'. She is doing very-well and having fun with her friends as she heals up! Take a little look into Beimnet's surgery! The operation went well and her frame is on. The idea of the frame is to help lengthen her leg. For this to work she will be staying with us here at CURE Ethiopia as we slowly but surely adjust the frame and allow it to slowly correct her leg! Photo of Beimnet

Beimnet is such a sweet girl! We met her at our clinic a couple of weeks back and when we saw her again she asked us this, "I remember you, you took my picture and you had a pink pencil, where is the pencil? " She is brave too, she played with her toys and had fun while waiting to be called to the operating room. Please keep her in your prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!
