“I was so shocked and sad, I didn’t even know if there was healing," admitted Habtam, Besufekade’s mom, she continued, "my husband even thinks it was a curse that our baby has a clubfoot, but we finally heard about CURE Hospital from people who support us and we came to the hospital!”
Besufekad is a couple of weeks old and he came to CURE Hospital with his mother Habtam and his twin sister Kidist seeking help for his clubfoot problem. Kidist does not have clubfoot like her brother, but she came in for a moral support. Habtam told us that Besufekad is a quiet baby and he sleeps a lot, but on the other hand his sister Kidist is restless. Besides his twin sister, Besufekad has an older brother. Both of his parents sell candles to support the family. Please join us in welcoming this family while they start Besufekad's healing journey!
Besufekad is getting big! He has not start walking by himself yet, but he is walking with a support like our physiotherapist Ashenafi taught him! The brace he's wearing is doing a wonderful job of healing his foot! We will see his progress in a month at his check-up!
Besufekad was staring at one of our physiotherapists, Demsash, while he was checking his tiny feet to see the progress he is making! Besufekad needs to continue with his brace and the prescribed exercises with help from his mother Habtam. We will see him in a couple of weeks for another check-up!
Besufkad's little feet are healing very well! Besides the brace, he needs a couple of exercises to help with his healing. His mother, Habtam, will do the exercises with him and we will see his progress in two months when he returns for another checkup!
Look at Besufekad, he is so healthy and is getting big! He was so restless, moving so much and grabbing everything around him, while our physiotherapist Demsash was trying his new braces on. We will see this little one in a month for another check-up!
Besufekad is doing great! His feet are getting better every week and he just needs a couple of casts before having a tenotomy. We will see him next week for another casting. Thank you for your continued prayers!
