CURE in Ethiopia

The picture above is of CURE in Ethiopia. The doctors, nurses, technicians, cooks, cleaners, and administrators of CURE Ethiopia are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Abdulselam. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $2000 for Abdulselam and kids like him. When you give a gift through Abdulselam's CUREkids profile, your contribution is designated to an exclusive country fund for CURE's work in Ethiopia, and those funds can only be used for operational expenses to treat patients in Ethiopia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Abdulselam. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“My hope is for my son to be able to play football and any other sport he wishes without difficulty. To be able to walk better and have straight legs!” says Mohammed, Abdulselam’s father.

Abdulselam comes from Eastern part of the country. His father is a herder and farms while his mother sells vegetables at the local market. He is the second born of six for his parents. Abdulselam completed the second grade and is on his way to the third. When he was about six, he received an intravascular vaccine and was bed ridden afterwards. As time passed, Abdulselam’s leg became deformed and it was more difficult for him to walk. “He likes to play football, but he cannot play because it’s too difficult for him so he spends his time reading,” continues Mohammed. We’re excited for Abdulselam’s healing!
