CURE in Ethiopia

The picture above is of CURE in Ethiopia. Everyone who serves with CURE in Ethiopia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Mendesil. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Mendesil. When you give a gift through Mendesil's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Ethiopia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Mendesil. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

“I want to see my son being healed and go to school just like his siblings,” says Ejigu, Mendesil’s father.

Mendesil is a very sweet child, he loves running and playing, but the problem he has on his foot always gets in the way of him having fun. His parents noticed the problem when he was around two. When the family decided to seek help for Mendesil’s foot problem, a friend of a friend told them about CURE and they came to us. Mendesil is the youngest for his parents, he has two sisters and one brother. His father Ejigu told us why he called his son Mendesil, which means ‘what a joy’, because he was so happy he got two daughters and two sons and decided not to have another child. Ejigu is a farmer and he is so thankful to have found a place that would give him all the help his son needed. Please join us in welcoming this sweet one!
