CURE in Ethiopia

The picture above is of CURE in Ethiopia. Everyone who serves with CURE in Ethiopia, from medical professionals to office staff, are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and spiritual care to people who, without CURE, couldn't find it and couldn't afford it, just like Kalkidan. To do that, we're inviting you to partner with us.

We need to raise approximately $1000 to treat children like Kalkidan. When you give a gift through Kalkidan's CUREkids profile, your contribution will help us continue our work in countries like Ethiopia. Have more questions? Ask us.

Monthly Giving: Be a Hero!

When you partner with us monthly, we'll send you an email each month to introduce you to a different child who was helped because of your generosity. You can choose to follow their updates and send them get well messages. That means that each year, you're a part of helping 12 different children, beginning with Kalkidan. We call it being a CURE Hero!

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.

Kalkidan is a seventh grader wishing to be a civil engineer when she graduates school. This is her first time in a hospital to receive help for her hand. She has a difficult time using any kind of writing utensil because of the pain in her thumb and looks forward to being able to write after recovering from surgery.

According to the doctors at clinic this week, Kalkidan is doing very well with her recovery. She has no triggering left in her finger and there are no concerns for her to return on a specific date for a follow-up. That said, she has completed her time with us here at CURE. She is welcome to come in if any problems do occur. Please continue to pray that she recovers well! Thank you for your support and prayers! http://bit.ly/1tZVYXC

Despite being a little nervous in the OR yesterday, Kalkidan did really well! Her surgery only took 15 minutes and her thumb is now able to bend all the way back like it is supposed to, which is going to help her write like she wishes she could do without pain! God is good. Thank you for supporting and praying for Kalkidan. Please continue those prayers as she recovers! http://bit.ly/1qsMYJy Photo of Kalkidan
