Thank you very much for sending Ketora your lovely messages. This adorable six-year-old was called into the OR last week for her third Mehta casting procedure courtesy of Dr. Tim and the OR Nurses. Praise God it was a huge success! Once the surgical team finished reapplying Ketora's cast, the Anesthesia team, consisting of Anesthesiologist Dr. Rediet and Anesthetist Tegegne, carefully monitored her vitals until she was ready to be moved to the recovery room. Praise God for the incredible display of teamwork we see from the CURE Ethiopia staff every day! May God bless them for their diligence! Ketora was over the weekend. She is now recovering well from the comfort of her home. Please continue to pray and support her!

"Simon says touch your ears!" Child Mentor Temesgen enthusiastically shouted to competitive Habetamu during group play. Habetamu has recovered well enough to wheel himself from place to place. Last week, he joined his long-term ward friends for fun and games with Child Mentor Temesgen. Temesgen showed the kids how to play different games, including Simon Says. Everyone immediately became competitive and had so much fun trying not to lose, but they were no match for Habetamu; he emerged victorious in the end! Praise God for all the laughs, fun, and games the children we serve experience at CURE Ethiopia. Thank you also for your support and contributions that make it happen.

Laban gathered up some strength as he waited for his time in the theatre room for a routine wound check and cast change. It's not an easy time for kids his age and your encouraging messages will go a long way in uplifting his spirits as he goes in for this routine procedure.

Kibet was following the doctor's recommendation to remain in bed, with the operated leg elevated on pillows for at least a day after surgery. "This is a precautionary measure, which is going to minimize ankle swelling that can inhibit the healing of the surgical wound." Dr. Federico pointed out. Kibet is faring on well after a routine cast change he had earlier today. Let's continue to keep them in our prayers!
