A little care by some dedicated nurses along with a lot of rest makes everything feel better. Bereket is still hanging out in bed, but he's alert and even smiling! Thank you for your prayers and please keep them coming because there is still a bunch of healing to go!
Ethiopia - Age 15
Today was a milestone! As we mentioned before, Tsedale had to have a skin flap surgery (to close the wounds and replace the scars on her left ankle), before her bone deformity was addressed. Dr. Tesfaye, together with two promising surgeons, beautifully finished the scheduled skin flap surgery. They took some health skin and tissue from Tsedale's calf and grafted it to her left ankle. Now that Tsedale has passed this major milestone, she can look forward to the next step in her healing process. Please pray with us, for her to pass all these milestones with strength and perseverance.

"One of the great things about training residents is, they help you with surgery. If I had done this alone, it would have taken more than two hours," Dr. Mesfin said after finishing Adonias' surgery. He and resident Dr. Netsanet displayed great teamwork while performing Adonias' procedure yesterday; and it was a tremendous success! Adonias' days of living with bow legs are long gone. He now just needs to be strong and endure the whole treatment plan. Please pray with us, so that God gives Adonias and his mom, Shega, the strength and perseverance they need in their time of healing.

James couldn't hide his joy after seeing the dramatic transformation of his daughter! "I am so happy, I am so grateful for what God has done," James spoke in between uncontrollable laughter. Rose's surgery went really well with most of the tumor removed, she is still in ICU being closely monitored. We can't wait to share with you some images when she is stable enough. "Thank you so much CURE and your friends who helped my daughter get her surgery done, I myself wouldn't have made it," James continued as his laughter helped hold back his tears of joy and gratitude. We're blessed to see how God works and heals today!
