Mihret was lost in her little world, playing with some flower petals when we caught up with her last week. She had come with mom Askale for her check-up with Dr. Tewodros and kept herself occupied until it was her turn to see him. When her turn finally came, Dr. Tewodros examined her legs and was pleased to see that everything was well. Mihret also had no pain complaints. Praise God! After finishing his examination, Dr. Tewodros gave Mihret a three-month appointment before sending her and mom Askale on their way. We pray for Mihret to continue healing until we see her again. Please pray with us, and thank you very much for helping her come this far. God bless you!

Geleta came to CURE Ethiopia last week and wasted no time getting accustomed to his new Ankle-Foot Orthosis made by the CURE Ethiopia Orthotics Workshop. He was excited to get it and confidently posed for this photo when we met up with him. Geleta is doing so well that Dr. Tewodros felt he didn't need to see him back here for another six months. We hope he will be well enough to walk without support when he comes back then. Praise God for his improvement, and thank you for your vital role in making this happen!

Last week, Sofonias stopped by CURE Ethiopia to pick up his custom new Ankle-Foot Orthosis, made by our very own orthotics workshop team. He was excited to try it on and said, "It's not uncomfortable, and I can walk well with it," while posing for his picture. This Ankle-Foot Orthosis will help support his weak muscles and keep his leg in the optimum position for standing and walking while he heals. We hope to see him walking on it without crutches when he returns to the hospital in September. Please remember him in your prayers until then!

Look at how happy Yalemwork looks now that her bandages have been removed. We caught up with this little princess when she visited CURE Ethiopia last week for a check-up with Dr. Tesfaye. We're pleased that the surgical wounds from her contracture release surgery are healing well, and she can now stretch her neck without difficulty. Dr. Tesfaye wants Yalemwork to return in a few weeks. We pray to see more improvement when she comes then.

We can't believe how much Gebrela has grown in the four months since we last saw her. And just look at her treated lip! Doesn't she look incredible? If we didn't include a before photo, no one would know that she received cleft lip surgery at CURE Ethiopia. Mom Nurit did such an excellent job massaging Gebrela's lip that her surgical scar is barely visible. Praise God! Adorable Gebrela has returned to CURE Ethiopia after a triumphant recovery to start her cleft palate treatment. Please send her congratulatory get-well messages and pray for her cleft palate surgery to be successful as possible.
