Today is Arafat’s fourth day at CURE Uganda. The anesthetists will be visiting him today to make a plan for his surgery. They think it will be this week. Today Sylvia spent some time praying and talking to Pastor Winnie from our spiritual department. Please be praying for Arafat, his mother Safina who is also still in the hospital, and his Aunt Sylvia who is with him here at CURE Uganda.

“My classmates are excited for my cast to be removed. I am excited as well too!” Shane feels so happy knowing that she has a lot of people supporting her on her healing journey and that includes all of you! We saw her today for her final cast removal and Doc Rayray showed her some photos of high cut boots that she needs to wear to keep her foot from turning in. Afterwards, Shane spent time in physical therapy where she was taught some exercises to regain her strength back in her leg. We will see her again next month and we are grateful for each and every one of you for helping kids like Shane experience God’s love and healing through your support and prayers!

“Xyrus really missed the playroom!” Mom Jecelyn told us as Xyrus headed straight to the playroom, reaching for his favorite toy cars! He celebrated his second birthday back home with his family last week and what better gift could he receive than hearing the good news that he will switch from long leg casts to short leg walking casts?! Xyrus teared up as Nurse Francis changed his casts but was later entertained watching the story of creation on the TV show Superbook. Please continue to pray for Xyrus as he is feeling some pain. Pray he will be able to get back to running and playing soon!
Kenya - Age 7
“Gota” is the word in Kenya for fist bump and that’s what we were given today by Duncan. Duncan went to the OR today for a dressing change and will hopefully go home soon with the knowledge that he’s healing! Please be praying over the next few weeks for his dad to think more about saying yes to Jesus!

Lucius is snuggled up in his blanket this morning. The doctors told him they got enough correction from his surgery and they will be able to discharge him today after physical therapy. Lucius will then go home over the weekend after he receives his discharge note today so please join us in praying for his recovery, first physical therapy session, and then journey home!
