Kibet

Kenya - Age 9
July 6, 2022

We caught our boy Kibet just from taking a lovely afternoon nap. We’re a bit jealous of him! We’re looking forward to spending some more time with him this week since he’ll be in the hospital for longer due to the nature of his procedures. We’re hoping he won’t have to wait long for his transformation. Tomorrow we’ll know more. Please be praying that he’ll have a greater recovering time with us here at CURE!

Kibet

Kenya - Age 9
July 5, 2022

"It's a bit cold here but I just want to go outside for a while. I've been on the bed for long." Kibet told us as he was saddled on the wheelchair by his dad. The sun had just come out and Kibet didn't want to miss it since we are in the Kenyan winter season. The sun is a rare occurrence, so nobody wants to miss it. Meanwhile, Kibet completed the recommended day-rest well and he could even sit on the wheelchair without any discomfort as the possible swelling had been managed well with the bed rest and elevated leg position. We thank the Lord for this positive progress in Kibet's recovery!

Laban

Kenya - Age 10
July 5, 2022

The time to continue with recovery at home came for our friend Laban and his dad. The routine checkup went well and he was given a green light to go home. We will see them in August for a review in clinic or at the hospital. Please continue praying for Laban's healing journey at home!

Laban

Kenya - Age 10
July 4, 2022

Laban gathered up some strength as he waited for his time in the theatre room for a routine wound check and cast change. It's not an easy time for kids his age and your encouraging messages will go a long way in uplifting his spirits as he goes in for this routine procedure.

Kibet

Kenya - Age 9
July 4, 2022

Kibet was following the doctor's recommendation to remain in bed, with the operated leg elevated on pillows for at least a day after surgery. "This is a precautionary measure, which is going to minimize ankle swelling that can inhibit the healing of the surgical wound." Dr. Federico pointed out. Kibet is faring on well after a routine cast change he had earlier today. Let's continue to keep them in our prayers!
