Brian

Kenya - Age 13
September 25, 2019

“I was talking to him about things about Christ and he accepted Christ!” Pastor Joshua told us today. While waiting to see the doctor, Brian was talking to one of our partnering pastors on our mobile clinic near Brian's home and God used this opportunity to help bring Brian to Jesus! Aside from this great news, Brian is also doing well and we’ll see him next in six months.

Edwin

Kenya - Age 14
September 25, 2019

Edwin was here not so long ago. The process of serial casting has now began and as earlier mentioned, this will go on for 3 more weeks before he can come back for his surgery. Edwin had never seen a cast cutter or experienced how it works so he was a little scared. Onesmus, one of the orthopedic technicians here at CURE Kenya, did a good job showing Edwin how the cast cutter is designed to only cut the cast and can't hurt him! In the end, it was a nice and easy process!

Kiserian

Kenya - Age 9
September 25, 2019

Kiserian came in for check up today! His guardian shared with us how much joy she had because Kiserian’s hand is completely healed and he doesn’t have a wound any more. She was also excited about Kiserian’s leg which needed some pins removed and the wound cleaned a bit before being dressed. Pin removal is painful most times and so nurse Lucy decided to keep Kiserian distracted as his pins were being taken out. Kiserian didn’t even notice that they had already been removed so he gave Lucy a big smile. We are grateful to God for the progress this young man has made and we pray for complete healing. Kiserian needs a few more dressing changes so we will see our friend in four weeks time when he comes back for another doctor’s visit!

Ruth

Kenya - Age 10
September 25, 2019

Ruth’s cast had to be split open this morning because her leg had started swelling, creating painful pressure inside the cast. While not fun, this is a rather normal post-op occurence. We are glad that Ruth was able to get some sleep this morning and her mum was there to watch her and take care of her. Please pray that God takes away Ruth’s pain completely and that her healing process will be smooth.
