Elizabeth from the Philippines on Today
We were so delighted to see sweet Elizabeth again! Thank God her wounds are healed and Nurse Francis removed them carefully, revealing Elizabeth’s cute upper lip! Maricel was advised to continuously apply ointment and massage Elizabeth’s lip to minimize the appearance of a scar. Before saying goodbye, Maricel and Elizabeth had a photo-op with Doctor Andrew, Medical Social Worker Mona, and Child Mentor Patricia. We will see them again in September for Elizabeth’s palate repair!Alexander from the Philippines on Today
Help us welcome Alexander Jr.! He first came to Tebow CURE last week with his brother Llyder for their initial assessment. To their surprise, they didn’t have to wait too long for their scheduled surgery and they are now admitted to the ward! However, Alexander Jr. and Llyder have to stay in separate rooms for the next couple of days to avoid confusion in administering medications on the nurses’ part. Once they see each other again, they will finally be cleft palate free! Please pray that Alexander Jr. will experience God’s peace as he goes to the operating room for his surgery.Llyder from the Philippines on Today
Llyder and his brother Alexander Jr. first came to Tebow CURE last week for their initial assessment. Little do they know, they would be both admitted the week after! To top it all off, Llyder is celebrating his 16th birthday with us on his admission day! Please be praying that Llyder will experience God’s peace and comfort as he waits for his surgery!Juliana from Zambia on Today
Dr. Felicilda successfully did a cleft repair surgery for this beautiful girl Juliana! The surgery went very well without any complications. Andesi was fearful, but all that fear has been replaced with joy! Juliana is recovering from surgery now so please continue praying.Gerald from Zambia on Today
What looked like would be a long healing journey has been shortened because Gerald will have his second surgery on his right leg tomorrow! Since both of Gerald's legs will be healing at the same time, the overall process will be shortened, but he won't be able to walk at all. Shorter, but a few more logistical difficulties. Please pray for Gerald's surgery tomorrow!Milan from Zambia on Today
Another patient, Isaac, came to visit Millan at his bedside today. They were both sharing their experiences recovering from surgery and also encouraging each other through the process. Today Milan had a quick dressing change and he has been given a go ahead by the surgeon to go home in a few days when he stabilizes!Dorcas from Zambia on Today
When social worker Nina came to take the kids to the play, Dorcas couldn't wait for her and rushed to the playroom. Today Nina did a session of play therapy with the kids which is always popular. Dorcas' last dressing change has been scheduled for tomorrow and then she'll be out of here!Irene from Kenya on Today
We caught with Irene after her appointment with laboratory nurse for a few final checks before her upcoming procedure. "I am glad to be back here with my mum. You have helped me this far and I can't wait to get my final surgery." Irene shared with us. We kindly ask you to join us in prayer and support for Irene as her transformation continues!Meriyem from Ethiopia on Today
Meriyem's entertainment for today was making faces for the camera! She is back in the RJF ward with her sister Fatuma now that Fatuma is done with round two of her surgeries. Meriyem is doing great and continuing her physical exercises!Diso from Ethiopia on Today
We found our counseling director Mesfin checking in on Diso this morning. We're obviously a hospital so physical healing takes place, but there are so many complicated emotions that accompany life change and the counseling staff stand (or sit) by our patients as they work through these emotions. Diso has been in a little pain over the weekend, but she tells us the CURE Ethiopia nurses have been great in helping her manage the pain. Please keep on praying for this young girl!Abenezer from Ethiopia on Today
This little one is here at CURE Ethiopia getting ready for his cleft lip corrective surgery! Please keep him in your prayers for his mother as she entrusts her son to our doctors.Alazar from Ethiopia on Yesterday
We found little Alazar in his mom's arms, sleeping. He is doing wonderful and heading back home. He will continue his healing from there and we will see him again at the end of this week when he returns for his check-up. Please keep this little boy in your prayers!Fatuma from Ethiopia on Yesterday
Fatuma is done with her surgeries and the doctors have discharged her back to the Rees-Jones Foundation (RJF) ward, our long term patient housing. She is already with her friend Kasib, listening to Bible stories from Temesgen (one of our counselors) and back to her usual routine of having fun in the RJF!Madalitso from Malawi on Yesterday
Mada has an awesome smile that it is irresistible! His healing is slowly, but heading in the right direction. Please keep praying for him.Yamikani from Malawi on Yesterday
Yamikani is going home! Both Yamikani and his mom have aced their frame care lessons and our medical staff is confident they can take care of things while they're home. Please keep praying for him for smooth healing and that he stays free of infection until he comes back in August!- Updates23

Why I Support CURE

Chris is excited to join CURE for the same reason most of us are part of it: Seeing the Kingdom of God at work in kids lives. "Kids right now who can't walk, they're being carried, who can't go outside because their faces look different… they get to be kids again. Because of CURE… because of you and me and everyone else involved, kids will be kids again, and be able to walk and run.Chris Tomlin
