Dickson has gone home! Unfortunately we couldn’t meet him before leaving because he was discharged later in the day. Nevertheless, Dickson will be reviewed in his home village by Dr. Moyo. This will be done alongside our other patients that Dr. Moyo will be seeing in Dickson's village. Please continue to pray for him!
Niger - Age 13
We visited Souraya in the ward. She was looking at the images and reading the lines about Jesus from the little book she received from our Spiritual department. "It must have been painful to lay down on the cross!" exclaimed Souraya. "That is pain!" She pondered over the image for a minute. Souraya's pain is almost gone. She received a visit from some relatives she has in town. Good to have family around! By God's grace Souraya will be discharged tomorrow. Please keep her and her mom in your prayers! May God's words take deep root in their hearts and bring salvation to them and the entire family. Your messages are also important and they always bring great encouragement to CURE's Niger patients. Souraya is one of them! Click on the button and reach out to her today! God bless you.
Ethiopia - Age 4
Like most kids a day after surgery, Selamu was understandably a little grumpy. He moved back to the long-term RJF ward this afternoon because he no longer needs close supervision. After having a bite to eat and reconnecting with old friends, Selamu was as good as new! We hope he recovers quickly and returns to his happy playful self.
Niger - Age 6
Double portion of smiles today! Assoumane has a new friend, Bilal. They were playing in bed with toys by the time we passed by. "Pic, pic, pic with my new friend, please!" yelled Assumane. He definitely feels much better. We are glad to see healing taking place in his body and the joy that comes with it. His grandma is still gratefully surprised by the fact that people from outside Niger prayed and payed for her nephew's surgery. It is a strong testimony of God's mercy upon their lives. Thank you for serving and demonstrating Christ and serving these children at CURE Niger!
Ethiopia - Age 1
Here she is! Amenen has grown up to be a beautiful little princess. She was a little grumpy because of yesterday's one-and-a-half-hour cleft palate procedure, so mom Mihret took her to the playground this afternoon. Apart from not being in the best mood, Amenen is recovering well. God willing, she will go back home tomorrow. Please pray for her to have a restful night's sleep.
