Abel

Niger - Age 13
June 24, 2021

As you can see, Abel is well taken care of by his little brother, Amorth! Some pineapple juice, lots of love from Amorth, and the care of our nurses are working wonders for Abel's well-being! He is in a great mood and in great shape. He kept encouraging the kids around him in the ward with a genuine smile on his face. Abel is able to cheer you up -- adult or kid -- you are not excepted from his great, simple way of making you smile wholeheartedly. Your prayers are doing wonders in his life. God bless you!

Amina

Niger - Age 6
June 24, 2021

Amina is back in our ward. She went through a difficult surgery. The doctors cut her tibia, straightened the bone, and placed cross pins to keep the bone in the right position. With some good rest and lots of love, she will be back "on her feet" soon. Through your prayers, you can bring healing! Please keep Amina in your prayers.

Evaline

Kenya - Age 5
June 24, 2021

In most cases, a hip patient will be out of bed with physical therapy the morning after their surgery. For Evaline however, she will be out of bed at least after a full day, and twice a day or more during her recovery. The fixations tend to reduce a patient's movement. The good thing about this is that her mom Carol is ready to assist her in any way needed. She even let Evaline use her phone to watch kids' shows online. Let's continue to pray for a seamless recovery.

Angel

Kenya - Age 14
June 24, 2021

The doctors advised Angel that she should stay in bed as much as possible for at least 24-48 hours after her procedure. Angel was even encouraged to sleep whenever she felt tired and move slower than her usual pace. This gradual approach will allow her body to tell her when it's ready to go back to normal. We continue to pray that the Lord fill Angel and her mom with patience in this recovery journey.

Yodahe

Ethiopia - Age 7
June 24, 2021

Smiley face Yodahe had his first surgical procedure done yesterday! In this one-and-a-half-hour procedure, Dr. Tim applied a metal frame around Yodahe's lower left leg. This metal frame, which has been drilled into Yodahe's lower left leg, will be adjusted from time to time to help correct his clubfoot. Even though it is a long process, the metal frame is one of the best remedies to treat children with neglected clubfoot. Please pray for Yodahe and his mom, Firehiwot, as they start this long journey to healing.
