Richmond
Niger - Age 4
Richmond is free to go home to continue his recovery! Before he left, he asked us to give him a piece of paper so that he could write his words of farewell and thanks. This touched us even though we could not read what he wrote. Richmond will be back in five weeks for his follow-up. Please keep him in your prayers, and thank you for the chance you gave him to have access to free CURE Niger care!

Halirou
Niger - Age 12
Halirou is full of energy when he meets the other children of the guesthouse. He has returned for a bandage change, and he takes the opportunity to play with his friends. They played a game called "dara," a typical African game consisting of going around the squares, and the person wins the last square on which he puts the last stone. The guesthouse children love this game! Halirou has to keep changing his bandages every two days. Thank you for giving him this chance to know CURE Niger, to know Jesus, and to have the care he needs!

Safaatou
Niger - Age 20
"I will do some hair braids for my neighbors and help with the house chores," Safaatou told us when we asked what she would do at home. "But I also will share Jesus with them," she added. Safaatou and her sisters got the green light to go home for one month. Their physical recovery is going well, and changing the landscape for a while will be good for them. Safaatou has grown in faith and does not fear sharing it with the women around her. Please pray that her testimony will encourage the people from her village to trust God. It is not an easy job in a 99% Muslim country, and Safaatou is determined to spend time with them and share the goodness of God.

Inaya
Niger - Age 16
"I miss my grandma and would like to see her!" Inaya told us. Our doctors agreed that the three sisters could go home for a month to continue their recovery there. "I am doing well physically. I will miss all their activities here at CURE Niger, but I will be happy to help my grandma around the house!" she said. We are grateful to see the excitement in her eyes as she prepares to leave. Please continue to pray for her and her sisters, as they are having a long journey ahead!

Farida
Niger - Age 14
"I'm glad that I have the chance to go home for a month. Inaya and I already planned some activities around our grandma's house!" Farida shared excitedly. She and her sisters will be gone for one month. It is a welcoming break from the medical surroundings. Her leg is healing well, and she is grateful for all the love you have been showing her through your prayers and messages. "I will thank God for them even in my village!" Farida said while heading to her room to pack up her things. Thank you for the beautiful change you bring into her physical and spiritual life!
