December 2019 Prayer Guide

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

A Savior has been born – the Rescuer has come! “A weary world rejoices” is what we sing in the Christmas carols. A world-weary of hate, division, fear, name-calling, disease, and war. A world where human life can be deemed worthless by the color of skin, wealth, or ability to walk. Into the weariness comes a Rescuer!

God promised the Savior would come and He came! God promised His kingdom of love, peace, and honor would enter in and settle the prime cause of our weariness – His name is Jesus! The Rescuer! Every person has intrinsic value because Jesus has come. As we pray this month, please consider the love God has for us and for children and families who need healing, not just their bodies but their whole beings.
