Our CUREkid Tesfanesh has been asking for a photograph of herself, since the beginning of her treatment, especially with one that shows the cool frame she used to wear. So, it was only right we caught her on her way out and surprised her with it!
Seifen was cheered up and excited to bond with Wubalem that she paused while eating breakfast! She went back to it after the fun was over!
These two, Hamiza and Nahom, had a blast doing arts and crafts with our awesome volunteer, Daniela, who comes weekly to tell the children stories from the bible through art!
Getaye was happy to see Wubalem while she was making her own rounds and cheering up fellow children in healing from her veteran experience with us! Way to go Wubalem!
Wubalem was ecstatic to have copies of her transformation from beginning to end thanks to our awesome Brant Hansen, who donated a photo printer!

Before our hospital took a break for Christmas, we enjoyed a day of fun, food, and games and we called it CURE Day!
One of CURE Day’s events included an eating contest. The contestants included, from left to right, Jackson, a nurse from the ward; Dr. Mbugua, one of our head orthopedic consultants; Steven, a nurse from the states who came with his wife to volunteer at CURE; and Amos, one of our physical therapists. Steven won the contest!
These two came for clinic and joined us for our weekly chapel!
Manasseh, one of our staff at the business office, had an accident in December. With both hands casted, and some chips of his teeth missing, his smile is still as wide as ever. Let’s all pray for a solid recovery for him.
Give this lovely girl Damac a book and you are friends. She loves to read and books are keeping her company as she recovers.

We rarely find kids cover their faces in front of the camera. But when they do, they find creative ways to hide.
