June 2016 Prayer Guide
They say time flies when you’re having fun. This must be true, given how hard it is for me to believe that I’m already in my third month as CURE International’s Anchoress. So far, most of my time has been spent listening, gathering information, and, of course, praying. As I learn and appreciate the unique ministries of CURE, I am daily reminded how blessed I am to be working here.
For instance, I’ve been learning that CURE is a global leader in the treatment of clubfoot. Maybe you, too, are unaware that that each year 160,000 children worldwide are born with clubfoot, a condition that has for many meant a lifetime of disability. Each year, CURE treats some 15,000 children with clubfoot and, since 2006, has seen nearly 100,000 children walk free. The treatment method, named after Dr. Ignatio Ponseti, requires multiple visits with CURE counselors as well as physicians. This provides many opportunities for children and family members to see God’s love in action in their lives, and we know many hearts have been changed as a result.
On June 3, we at CURE International headquarters remembered the birthday of Dr. Ponseti—with cake! We think 100,000 changed lives calls for celebration; I’m sure you do, too. So we invite you to celebrate with us! Visit https://cure.org/clubfoot/ to taste the joy CURE is bringing into the world of clubfoot. When you do, be sure to click on the new video. As you witness images reflecting changed lives, we know you will share our hope that one day clubfoot will no longer mean a lifetime of disability.
Thank you for your continued prayers for the ministry of CURE International as we continue our mission to proclaim the kingdom and heal the sick.
Praise the Lord that new believers are sharing their faith and discipling others.
Pray that the poultry and vegetable garden projects will be a blessing to patients and caregivers as they support their families. The projects are a blessing to the hospital, as staff and patients both benefit from the food as well as the skills being learned.
Praise the Lord for the 10 adult patients who came to faith last month.

Please pray for the medical and spiritual staff as they encounter a great need; Tebow CURE is the only orthopedic hospital on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines.

Praise the Lord for healing a young patient, formerly dominated by an evil influence that since very young kept her from speaking. At the mother’s request, the ministry team prayed for her and today she is teaching village children gospel songs she learned while at CURE Niger. Pray for the mother who knows that her daughter was healed by Jesus Christ, but is afraid to confess.

Pray for the spiritual team as they support new believers from districts where the majority follow faiths other than Christianity. The believers face potential hostility for having been at CURE Malawi. Pray for courage and growth for them.

Pray for the hearts of the owners who are affected very badly.
Also many people have been affected by cancer in Kenya. Some are parents of our staff and friends too. Pray that God will heal the living ones.
