500 Reasons to Smile
CURE Niger, in partnership with Smile Train, just completed its 500th cleft correction!
Executive Director Brian Van Hall said,
“February 5, 2015, was certainly a day to smile for a young boy named Djibril and the staff at CURE Niger. Our team in Niamey had the honor of repairing his lip and restoring his smile, which marked the 500th cleft correction performed since opening in 2010.
“We would like to thank our loyal supporters and partners, including Smile Train, Sentinelles, Free to Smile, and CBN, all of whom have significantly contributed to the healing of these cleft patients. Above all, we thank God for the opportunity to provide healing in Niger. We look forward to the next 500!”
Thanks to these surgeries, kids like Sharifa have renewed hope for the future. That’s certainly a reason to smile!
Please join us in celebrating with our team in Niger as we give thanks for this milestone.
