A first birthday party to celebrate… at age 16

Something to know about me: I’m not a big birthday person. I don’t tell people my birthday is coming up or make my favorite cake flavor known, but somehow, someway, my friends always make sure my birthday is extra-special and extra-celebrated. To my knowledge, I’ve never gone a year without a celebration.

It wasn’t until I heard Yolanda’s story that I fully appreciated the gift of being recognized, remembered, and celebrated.

Jeff Manion, Senior Pastor of Ada Bible Church, recently shared Yolanda’s story of healing, hope, and her first birthday party. Did I mention she’s 16? Take a moment to hear her story and find out why she has so much to celebrate this year.

This is a birthday party I can get behind; a small taste of heaven on earth and the Kingdom of God advancing. It’s only an appetizer in preparation for the feast we will partake in when the new heaven and the new earth are established.

We celebrate Yolanda and her birthday here on earth. Even more, we rejoice in the healing that is occurring in her life, both physically and spiritually.
