LEMOYNE, PA – FEBRUARY 25, 2014 – CURE International has begun the search for the first Medical Director for the Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City, Philippines. The hospital, built in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, will open later this year. CURE is seeking an orthopedic surgeon with experience in a management role and a heart to heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God.

Construction of the Tebow CURE Hospital has been underway on the island of Mindanao since February 2012. Executive Director Leron Lehman arrived in 2013 to oversee the completion of the building and the hiring of the remaining personnel. “It’s exciting that we have reached the point in the development of the Tebow CURE Hospital that we are ready to bring on our first Medical Director,” said Lehman. “This person will be instrumental in hiring and developing the rest of the medical staff. It’s one step closer to being ready to open our doors.”

The Tebow CURE hospital is one of the primary outreach initiatives of the Tim Tebow Foundation. “I was born in the Philippines, and my parents have been missionaries to that area for over 30 years. The Philippines have always had a special place in my heart,” Tebow said. “I’m excited to be a part of this hospital that will bring physical and spiritual healing to thousands of children who would not otherwise have access to care.”

The Tebow CURE Hospital will provide pediatric orthopedic surgical care, helping children with treatable conditions like clubfoot and spinal deformities. The Medical Director will be playing a part in helping restore hope to many deserving children in the Philippines. Individuals interested in applying for the position of Medical Director can do so at https://cure.org/jobs.
