About Sinani
Just because something is different than the norm doesn’t mean it is bad. Unfortunately things that are different tend to make others react badly. Sinani Alick is four-years-old and has two sets of conjoined fingers, which have been an increasing cause of strife in his life as he continues to get older.
The poor little guy’s pinky and ring fingers on both hands just simply neglected to finish forming and separating before he was born. It doesn’t seem that big of a deal, but it quickly becomes one when your peers start calling you names like “twin banana fingers” or “four fingered boy.” Sinani’s dad is tired of his son being ostracized because of a birth defect, so for them coming to CURE was a clear solution.
Sinani will have a rather simple operation to separate his fingers and when he goes home he will be just like all the other kids his age. Surely those same bullying peers will be surprised that they no longer have anything to ridicule him for. That will be a welcome and most appreciated by everyone in the Alick family.
