About Hope
Hope’s parents were absolutely thrilled when they learned that they were being blessed with a baby boy. The joy after his birth was short lived as they were told by doctors that Hope had a bilateral clubfoot condition. Worry set in and many supporters of the family rallied around them and prayed night and day for Hope.
A group of supporters visited the Makata home and informed them about CURE and the Clubfoot Clinic providing first class treatment for infants. The mother remained to have little faith in doctors providing a cure for Hope since her medical experiences have been less than helpful. But she showed up on Thursday with Hope, a precious baby boy with big bold eyes.
Hope was very cooperative and was casted on both legs. He will return next week to chart progress and see if he’s ready for the next step in clubfoot treatment. Please pray for Hope and his parents.
Treatment Note
Hope is suffering with clubfoot, but as an infant our doctors have determined that his condition can be treated through a less-expensive multi-stepped casting process called the Ponseti method. As a result, Hope's care will be reflected in (instead of one surgery) a series of updates throughout the casting process.

Day 1Hope is a quiet baby boy that can't stay focused on one thing for too long. Hope's big beautiful eyes scanned the plaster room full of other infants, mothers and nurses. Hope's condition can be treated with a routine of casting and bracing both feet. Pray for this little guy, he's only 6 weeks old. http://bit.ly/P7ZtIe
