About Shadreck
Learning how to walk is a big deal for babies and toddlers. Everyone gets so excited when their little one takes his first steps. How devastating would it be, both to the parent and to the developing child, for something to happen causing a regression in the child’s learning to walk? This is something one-year-old Shadreck Bamusi’s family has recently experienced since he sustained burns on the bottoms of his feet earlier this year and they have become contractures.
Shadreck was running around his home happily with his mother when he decided to do some exploring outside. His mom, Evelysi, initially took no notice of the fact that her little boy, who had just recently found his walking feet, was doing a little exploring. All of a sudden, though, she heard crying and went outside to see what was happening. Shadreck had stepped in the fire that was going outside and had seriously burned his feet. From January 2012 to the present, Shadreck has not walked due to his accident. The burn contractures that have formed cause him severe pain if he tries to walk on his feet, so this little guy is back to crawling.
Evelysi is so glad she has come to CURE, as before she was not quite sure what to do or where to turn for help. Soon enough Shadreck will be back up on his feet and making up for lost time!

JSON RSS- Day 91Shadreck, as you know, has not been to the hospital for his surgery yet. We also do not have contact information for him so we can't find out when he might come in. Please pray that someday he will come into the hospital ready for surgery, having conquered all of the issues that are currently keeping him from coming, but for now we must archive him as we wait.
Monday August 27, 2012 - Day 44Shadreck's treatment date has been changed to 07/23/2012 - Still no Shadreck. Keep on praying for him!
Wednesday July 11, 2012 - Day 30Shadreck's treatment date has been changed to 07/09/2012 - Shadreck has not come to the hospital in the past two weeks for his operation. We'll see what we can do about trying to get ahold of him and hopefully we'll know, soon when he'll be here.
