About Margret
At only three-and-a-half years old, Margret Khowoya is already a very confident and assertive little girl. Margret has drop foot which causes her to walk on the outside of her right foot, rather than the bottom, and prevents her from being able to walk steadily let a lone run, skip or jump like other kids her age. All of the other kids call Margret names because of her condition, one of which no one is sure of the origins, and she simply answers, “Well one day my foot will be fine, it will be just like all of yours!” She has come to CURE where she will finally make good on her bold statement. Next time she sees all of her friends, her foot will be flat on the ground and she will be on her way to running, jumping and playing with all those kids who had such little faith in her before!
