Malifa lives in Malawi and has brittle bone disease, and in Malawi the sort of specialty medical care Malifa needs is scarce. There are 100 million children in the world just like Malifa who have little hope for the future.
Many can't play with their friends or go to school, and when Malifa grows up, things that we hope for like marriage or finding a job will be difficult or impossible...all because Malifa has a curable disability! But you can change Malifa's life forever.

Another child like Malifa Chisale needs her opportunity for life-changing care. You can help make that possible right now.

About Malifa

Usually the phrase, “break a leg,” follows the idea of bring good luck. Clearly not literal, for Malifa Chisale, breaking both of her legs brought her no luck at all.

Three years ago Malifa fell playing with friends, as a result she broke her leg. She was taken to her district hospital where the leg was plastered, and expected to heal just fine. Unfortunately just a few weeks later she broke her other leg and was taken through the same process. Fortunately for this unlucky, or just clumsy, adorable little girl both legs healed without a problem. That is of course, until she broke both legs again just a few years later. The second time around Malifa’s bones were not as cooperative as they had been the first time and weren’t healing correctly. She was unable to walk, or go to school and cried in pain.

Luckily for Malifa her hospital referred her to CURE about a year ago, where one of her legs was straightened. Months later after a very successful surgery she’s been booked to straighten the other. Maybe she hasn’t had much luck lately but we sure feel lucky getting to meet this funny, playful little girl.
