Yahaira's Funding is Closed

As I was writing Yahaira’s story, I remembered a scripture in Romans 8:35, 37-39, that reads: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Yahaira is a great example of that verse, because despite all the suffering she has already encountered, nothing has separated her and her family from the love of God. Only 6 years of age, Yahaira has already been through 4 surgeries, including a cosmetic one due to a car accident that left her with facial disfigurement. Also, she was diagnosed with what most doctors believe is an undeveloped version of Escobar Syndrome, which is very, very rare. This condition is evident even before birth, because you can find a webbing of the skin at the joints that keeps them from having muscle movements, thus causing weakness and joint deformities. She was also born with clubfeet, but thanks be to God, she was treated in a timely manner and her feet are looking great now.

During the years, her left knee developed a small cyst that was extracted at a local hospital. But now, another cyst has grown in the same place, and since it is so big (the size of a tennis ball), her doctor referred her family to us, because he was afraid of extracting it without causing any harm to her bones. Yahaira was evaluated by our doctors and had her cyst extracted and sent to a biopsy lab test. We will be praying for her health, and by faith, we surely know she’s more than a conqueror!
