About Juana

Little Juana is less than two weeks old, so she is very fortunate that her parents were referred to CURE right away after her birth and that they brought her in a timely manner to have to clubfeet treated. The sooner the treatment begins, the better the results. And for someone like Juana who will grow up in a home where physical ability is necessary to work around the home, walk to school, and be competent to have a job and take care of herself, this treatment is critical. Her parents are very thankful for this early intervention and look forward to watching their baby girl growing up, healthy in both body and mind because this treatment is giving her a brand new start!

Treatment Note

Juana is suffering with clubfoot, but as an infant our doctors have determined that her condition can be treated through a less-expensive multi-stepped casting process called the Ponseti method. As a result, Juana's care will be reflected in (instead of one surgery) a series of updates throughout the casting process.
