About Amanuel
CURE is the first hospital that Amanuel has ever visited seeking healing for his right foot. It's been causing him pain and discomfort since birth. The free operation he will receive here is called a midfoot osteotomy. The doctors will give new flexibility to his foot so that he can bend and flex it.
Amanuel says that he can't wait to run after he heals from the operation. He loves to play soccer now with other kids, but it is very difficult for him to keep up. He can't wait for the day when his foot will no longer be a hindrance.
Amanuel is currently in grade 3, and he loves math and science. He hopes to become a doctor someday. He lives with his parents and 6 siblings. His father is a farmer, and his mother is a merchant. Amanuel has 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
We're ready to see Amanuel back at CURE so he can get this life-changing surgery and be back on his feet running around in no time.
