About Leul
Leul is a really bright young man, and he knows it, too! When asked his favorite thing about himself, he happily replied, "I am smart." He is currently in second grade, and his favorite subject is English. Leul dreams of becoming a doctor someday.
Leul's family has attempted to get him care at other hospitals. He even had an operation, but it did not completely correct his right leg so that hospital sent him here to CURE, hoping he would get the care he needs. He has 2 sisters and 1 brother. Leul's father works for Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, which is a good job, but still does not provide enough to cover the cost of surgery for his son, especially after they've already paid for one that was unsuccessful.
At CURE, he will get an operation to lengthen his right heel and the outside of his right foot in order to straighten it, which will help him walk without any more problems. Fun fact: Leul's name means "prince". We hope he feels like one after he recovers!

Day 324Leikun came to CURE last week for a followup. The doctors saw him and said he's doing extremely well and he doesn't need any treatment for his foot any more and advice him to wore his supporting shoe(brace) for sometime. http://bit.ly/10KNvHv
