About Nesanet
Nesanet was burnt when she was 2 years old. That means that she has lived with untreated burns for 16 years of her life. Although she has been living with this condition as long as she can remember, she makes the best of what she has.
She works at a shop and is striving to be independent. For now, she lives at home with her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is in 10th grade, which means she is getting ready to graduate. She is not sure what she wants to do after graduation.
Nesanet has many friends, and she has a boyfriend. She enjoys spending time with all of them. I asked her what her favorite thing about herself is. She smiled and said her hair. This beautiful 18 year old has thrived despite a condition that could have potentially held her back. Now she can live a life free of these burns and continue to move forward.

Wednesday June 20, 2012 - Day 95We still haven't seen Nesanet since her last follow-up appointment. We're waiting for the dates for her physical therapy appointments. It will be great to see her walking on two healthy legs.
Wednesday June 13, 2012 - Day 67Nesanet's follow up appointment has been scheduled for 05/16/2012 - Nesanet is now starting physical therapy. She is healing beautifully!
Wednesday May 16, 2012 - Day 66Nesanet has arrived at CURE Ethiopia
Tuesday May 15, 2012 - Day 38Nesanet's follow up appointment has been scheduled for 05/15/2012 - She came in today for her follow-up appointment. She is so friendly and seemed not to be in pain. Nesanet will return next month for a second follow-up.

Sunday April 1, 2012 - Day 17Nesanet is in recovery at CURE Ethiopia - She is recovering nicely in the ward. Her surgery did not require any skin grafting so it wasn't nearly as long as Ayane's, another CUREkid that had her operation yesterday.
Tuesday March 27, 2012 - Day 16Nesanet's treatment date has been changed to 03/26/2012 - We thought that her surgery had to be cancelled today due to so many other operations going on, but she getting prepped now. It's happening today.
Monday March 26, 2012 - Day 12Nesanet's treatment date has been changed to 03/22/2012 - Netsanet is scheduled for surgery today. I have not seen her in the ward yet, but she should be in the OR within the next couple of hours. This is a big day for her; please be praying for her safe healing!
Thursday March 22, 2012 - Day 11Nesanet has missed her appointment at CURE Ethiopia - We are still awaiting Nesanet's arrival.
Wednesday March 21, 2012 - Day Help bring healing to Nesanet by following her story and watching as this long overdue treatment progresses.
