Passion 2011 Update

The CURE booth at Passion 2011 - 12:30AM January 4, 2011

On a regular basis, I thank God to be a part of what He is doing through CURE. This is truly His work, and evenings like last night are a tremendous reminder of that.

This picture was taken at 12:30AM from the back of the line at the CURE booth at Passion 2011. Students responded throughout the day to the urgent needs of children with hydrocephalus in Uganda; but in the late night session, they arrived in mass and stood in line to save a baby’s life. The result was overwhelming as the students healed over 100 children in just 3.5 days!

Last night, Passion 2011 kicked off in Atlanta, and CURE was invited back to share the story of kids in Uganda who need a life-saving surgery. We’re asking Passion students to come together to heal 50 babies in Uganda who are born with a life-threatening condition known as hydrocephalus.

The video below is a story told by our spiritual director in Uganda, Miriam, on how some local tribes treat these unwanted children, but CURE is changing that through sharing the love and compassion of Jesus Christ with these families in Uganda and showing them that these children can be cured completely!
