On Thursday, August 5, 2010, 10 medical aid workers were tragically killed on a trip into a remote portion of northern Afghanistan. You can read CURE International’s official response here. Those following this event well know that one of the 10 victims was Dan Terry.

As someone relatively new to CURE, I regret that I never had the privilege of knowing Dan. But in my interactions with many of my colleagues throughout recent days, it was resoundingly clear that CURE International has lost not only a diligent servant, but a very dear friend and colleague. And as co-laborers and a community of faith, it seems entirely right and good that we should share and express a moment of remembrance for Dan as CURE International.

Therefore, Friday, August 13, 2010, has been set aside as day to remember Dan Terry on the CURE Blog.
Throughout the day individuals from across the CURE community will share reflections on the impact that Dan had on CURE Kabul and on the lives he touched in Afghanistan.
