And Amy Fann Checks in from Zambia…

Amy Fann, our Zambia GO Team leader, just sent me this email….

The team and I arrived safely yesterday (Thursday) night, and I was so happy to see my Zambian friends at CURE.

After a long flight and almost missing our connection to Lusaka, we were tired and without luggage, but our hearts were filled with joy to be here.  Today the team got to hear about the work the hospital is doing and all the wonderful expansions that are happening to the O.R. so that they can help more children in the future.  The hospital staff has been so warm and welcoming.  We are very excited to hear more about the progress that the hospital is making and to spend time with the staff.

Tomorrow (Saturday) three of the medical students on the GO Team will have the opportunity to go on a mobile clinic with Pastor Harold, the hospital’s spiritual director, and see how the hospital finds children that can be cured through the services at the hospital.  They will also experience how CURE Zambia partners with organizations around Zambia to help serve and find children in need.

Monday we will embark on an outreach mission into the Copper Belt where we will serve alongside many Zambians to help bring the good news of Christ and clinical care to those in the rural villages.  We will be a part of a team of 30 from Lusaka, 60 total.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.  The Lord is good, and He is with us always.
